Please Note: Cardinal ticket purchases are non-refundable, but may be transferred to another individual. Printed tickets must be picked up in person at ISBA’s Annual Meeting registration desk no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2024. There is no ticket pick up option on Saturday, June 8, 2024.

The sports and entertainment law landscape often confuses attorneys regarding what exactly it entails. This in-depth seminar is designed to guide legal professionals on the dynamic journey of becoming a sports and entertainment lawyer – from networking strategies and ethical considerations to relationship building and understanding the various ways you can help clients in the sports/music/film industry. Business law attorneys, intellectual property practitioners, corporate law council, and new attorneys with basic to intermediate practice experience who attend this program will better understand:
  • The various pathways to becoming a sports and entertainment lawyer;
  • The types of cases sports and entertainment attorneys may handle;
  • The importance of cultivating professional relationships in the sports and entertainment legal field, including building and maintaining mentor-mentee relationships;
  • How to identify and engage with key professionals in the sports and entertainment industry; and
  • The ethical considerations that are specific to sports and entertainment law.

  • Fees (for CLE Program ONLY):
    • ISBA Member - $50
      • ISBA sponsoring section members get a $10 registration discount (which is automatically calculated in your cart when you log in to register).
  • An additional $15 fee is charged for registrations on or after Thursday, May 30, 2024
  • Please Note: MCLE credit is available to registrants only on the day of this live event – and you must attend the entire program to earn MCLE credit. All registrants will receive access to a recording of the event a few days after the program, but credit is NOT available for the recording.
  • From time to time at ISBA CLE events, the ISBA, it’s vendor partners, or others may take photographs or video of participants, attendees, and guests for use in their marketing or promotional materials or news publications.
