Same-sex marriages have been legally recognized in Illinois since being signed into law ten years ago by Governor Pat Quinn. Join us for a retrospective look at marriage equality in Illinois over the past decade, as well as the impact it has had on the divorce landscape. Additional topics include:
  • The history behind marriage equality in Illinois;
  • The current trends in same-sex marriage and divorce; and
  • The best practices and unique considerations for family law practitioners serving the LGBTQIA+ community throughout the State.
